Beautiful mantel clock, the movement is by Marti and has the clockmakers mark on the back plate along with the retailers name Jarrier Clermont Ferrand” on the dial. Marti was awarded the Bronze medal in 1860 and was a well known clockmaker in Paris in the mid 18th Century. In 1860 it’s known that their premises were situated at Le Pays de Montbeliard and in 1863 Marti worked with two other wellknown clockmakers
