The tortoiseshell and cut brass case elaborately decorated with coloured horn (red, yellow and green) and mother of pearl in the form of flowers with brown tortoiseshell foliage case. 14-day silksuspended movement with anchor escapement with outside countwheel, striking on a bell with matching wall bracket. 110 cm x 43 cm x 20 cm. |

Sold Boulle three piece clock set, small (1324) Very rare three piece Boulle set with candelabra's. Named after Andre Charles Boulle who followed in his fathers footsteps and became a cabinetmaker. In 1672 he was appointed court artist and took up residence in the Louvre, the Royal Palace in Paris. He was the first artist allowed more than one artistique discipline because he needed more than one to complete his works of art.
